snow-leopard
The Snow Leopard Trust is working to help save snow leopards through sound science and community based conservation. Our film helps to tell a story of one program that successfully helps to save snow leopards and people.
In 2016, Gayle Podrabsky traveled with cinematographer Joe Pontecorvo to Ladakh, India to capture stories from the people who share the landscapes with snow leopards. Tashi Phuntsog, a cashmere goat herder who lives in the village of Gya, is one such story.
Winner at the World Wildlife Day’s International Big Cat Film Festival at the United Nations for the category of People and Big Cats.
